What do you think of Sheldon? And what other nicknames could be used with it besides Shell and Shelly?

He could go by Don, that's the only other one I can think of. I'm probably not much help ;).

I remember watching maybe one cartoon where a nerdy kid was named Sheldon, but they went to the future in one episode, and he turned out to be rich and handsome :)

Reply:I'm on the fence here. I like the sound of it (it rolls of the tongue nicely), but in novels and movies everywhere it's been labeled as a geek name, similar to Melvin. I just couldn't bring myself to use it.





Besides Shell and Shelly, some nicknames might be Don, Hal, Heldon, Holden or Sheld.

He would probably get teased at school, as the turtle (or fish, or something) in Finding Nemo's name was Sheldon.

Reply:I dont really care for it, i know a guy with this name and he is a good guy so its not a bad association or anything, im not sure why i dont really like it, Ive been trying to find a name for my son due in a few weeks and I think it may just be that i really dont like any boy names...
Reply:I really don't like the name Sheldon. It gives me the picture of some really slow, wet-behind-the-ears kind of kid, though then again, that's probably because of the one Sheldon I ever did know in like fourth grade lol.
