What do you think about this boy name?

My hubby and I like the name Luke for our 2nd boy due in September. However, we have considered his middle name being Stewart. That's the middle name of my hubby's grandfather who has cancer and is not expected to live much longer %26amp; is a great man. So, how does Luke Stewart sound? Our last name has 2 syllables. If you don't like it, do you have any more middle name suggestions?

At first I didn't care for the 1 syllable first name with a 2 syllable middle name, but then I added a 2 syllable last name and it sounded better --- Luke Stewart Miller ---


I think it would mean so much to so many people if you chose Stewart for his middle name. Go for it. And tell Gramps the good news before it's too late.
Reply:Individually the names are great, but they do not match in. Stewart Luke does work but may not be what you want.


Look to the syllable [James Stewart prefered to be known as Jimmy for this reason]. You could consider shifting to Lucas Stewart {though I hate this]
Reply:Personally, I think it sounds fine. Besides, you are honoring the baby's great grandfather. That's what's most important.

Reply:Sounds fine to me. Honestly though, parents seem to agonize over the middle name of their child and how well it goes with the first name but people rarely use their middle name anyway. Whats the point of a middle name??
