Why is it so much easier to come up with a boy麓s name than a girl麓s name?

We have a list of 4 names for a boy, and zero if it麓s a girl-why is this so hard?

Why is it so much easier to come up with a boy麓s name than a girl麓s name?
It took us five minutes to pick out a boy name


It took eight months to pick out a girl names





What we did, each pick ten names out that we thought the other would like, They were only one name on each list. That is how got our daughter name

Reply:I agree, I'm much better with boys names than girls. I only have a few that I really love of girls, but tons and tons of boys.
Reply:I think this might be true because boys names are so simple like Jack John, Bill. They don't really hold personallity either such as Jewel. It shows personality in a name. Also there is something whith girls finding it hard to choose their own gender of names and boys find it harder to choose their gender names. I guess it is because girls are always dreaming about their husband and are always thinking of boy names.

Reply:i find girls names to be 100 times easier than boys. Theres more variety in terms of what you can name a girl.

Reply:we were the same way with both of our pregnancies. In fact, we NEVER decided on a girl's name for our oldest!





We had two boys :) My personal theory is I never settled on a girl's name because subconsciously I "knew" I was having boys lol
