Please help us choose a Baby boy name?

What do you think of Harrison or Hamilton as a first name? I also like Garrison? We want a strong name but not a common "top ten" name. Second name will be Chad.

I like the name Harrison but I agree with the previous answerer in the fact that people will think of Harrison Ford. Out of your three picks, I like this one the best.


I'm ok with the name Garrison as a first name. It's just odd to me because my bff's maiden name is Garrison. I do like it though.


I don't like Hamilton as a first name because it reminds me of the pig on the cartoon, Maggie and the ferocious beast. My one year old son watches it and that is the first thing I think of when I hear Hamilton.

Reply:I like Harrison but friends named their son Harrison 10 years ago and still everyone asks them if they named him after Harrison Ford. If that doesn't matter to you, then go for it because it's a cool name. I just know my friend gets annoyed.





Hamilton is interesting but everyone would call the kid Ham or Hammy whether you want them to or not. Plus, it seems odd unless it's either a family name or you are a history buff with an interest in Alexander Hamilton.
Reply:You're setting your kid up to get his *** kicked in school. All of those names are kind of pansy names. Also, Chad is one of the whitest names in the world, so if he's ever in a minority area, he's pretty much screwed. I suggest naming him something more masculine, like Bruce, or Badassius Maximus.
Reply:Harrison=hairy, I dislike any name that sounds like hairy! Ppl always make fun of kids with that name, it just sounds soo nerdy and bad. I never understood why ppl like that name. Use it as a middle name, not a first name. Your kid will hate it, Sorry.
