What is your favorite boy name? (I need to make a character for a story)?

Okay I'm writing a shortstory kind of like Twilight, and I have this character that's immortal. I need a name for him. I want it to be not too complicated, very basic, but noble name, like Edward, or William. Give me some of your fave names.

What is your favorite boy name? (I need to make a character for a story)?
It should be an outdated name, you can find many good ones here: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ance...

Allen would work perfectly.

Alexander

James

Walter

Charles

Julian

Warren

Oh, and my favourite boy name is Rickett. I wouldn't use it for this kind of character.

What you're writing is called fanfiction, by the way. Post it on Fanfiction.net when you want to share it.

Reply:i named my goat georgia. i agree with that person that said boy goats are mean. don't get a boy that's all i can say. we tryed that whole companion horse + goat thing and the horse didn't like the goat. we now have a goat that loves us and not the horse. but we like georgia (even though she does eat EVERYTHING). i would name the goat if it was a boy (fixed guy goats are nice) tom, george, billy, guy, ed or something like that. for a girl ana, anna, lucy, snookums, ellen, or sue. here is a great goat website that has everything on it fiascofarms.com.

Reply:I am not sure if you can call a goat, like a dog. If you can it is better to use 2 syllable names because they would get used to the sound and know what you were saying. For example: Holly, Logan, Piper, Dana, Berry, or Muffin. Those are mainly same sex names. Hope you have a Merry Christmas, and good luck wil your goat! :)

Reply:First off I want to advise you against this. I am actually this afternoon returning a goat that we have had for 5 months... %26lt;swithches into sales mode%26gt; Hi would you like to buy a 8mo old goat!!! No but seriously do not get a male goat. We got one to keep our mini horse company and he has been nothing but trouble. First off he smells awful because male goats will pee on themselves. Second he wants to "play" by butting you or biting at your legs, if you don't give in he will become more and more violent. Thirdly he harrasses the horse more than comforts him. he is constantly trying to hump him (probably won't be a problem with a full size horse), he will bite his tail and pull the hair out (the horse now has a bald spot), he will constantly just irritate the horse and run him until he flips over (that was the last straw on Sunday). Finally he is just not safe to have around anyone that doesn't know him. He is fine with me because i flipped him by his horns one day, pinned him down and showed him who was the dominant creature, but with anyone else he is dangerous. So please do alot of homework on this whole goat thing before you buy one. And if you still get one I hope your experience is better than mine!
Reply:Billy, Alfalfa, Marshall, Mocha, Ramses, Ramsy, Skooter, Sophie, Zeus, Tex, Snickers.... you might not want a Christmasy name all year long... but Noelle is pretty. --- The name Joulupukki literally means Yule Goat or Christmas Goat. You could shorten that name and it would be REALLY CUTE, and perfect for a Christmas memory! Good luck naming your goat! Merry Christmas!!!

Is Giovani Antonio a cute boy name? What about Mireya Jazmin for a girl?
I like the boy's name a lot, I don't understand how to pronounce the girl's name. I'm hispanic.

Reply:I really like the boy name, but I'm not crazy about the girl name.
Reply:Giovani Antonio (Johnathan Anthony) is a nice strong name for a "Son of Italy," and don't ever tell him you thought it was "cute" even if you are his future mother. Your husband or yourself selected a poetic name for daughter as it speaks of royal mystery. Am not hispanic myself, but Mireyna (Mexico) or Miriena (Spain) Jazmin translates as My Queen Jasmine; very loving and international (hispanic/Asian) name and not likely to get her teased in high school or middle-school. Good choices and may I assume "Baby" is about to "make three?" and if so, congratulations!
Reply:I guess there okay if your hispanic and italian. Remember this has to be with them when their adults.
Reply:They are both very cute names, but it's spelled Giovanni. Giovani means young persons. I live in Italy.
Reply:"no" a good name is al yankovich for boy. and rosean for girl. ....or scratch all that and give them the wonderful name of mostachiolii! for girl and michorizo for boy!!!........
Reply:They're good names if you're going for ethnic sounding. No one will be able to pronounce Mireya though. Is it like Mariah? Pretty name, but difficult spelling. Jazmin is pretty common, so if you're going for uncommon don't pick Jazmin.
Reply:Theyre both cute! I like it. =)

I love Tory for a boy!! I've never heard it before.

I think Torrin or Torren would be a super cool boy name and easily shortened to Tory!!
Reply:If you are going to call him Tory anyway, why not just name him that? If you are concerned about teasing, then I would advise not using it even as a nickname. If that's what he is always called, that's the only name most people will know and it won't matter what his full name is.

What Do You Think About This Girl's Name and This Boy's Name?

Hello, what do you think about Brooklynne Elizabeth for a girl and Loudon Michael for a boy?

What Do You Think About This Girl's Name and This Boy's Name?
I like Elizabeth and Michael...but not the first names, sorry.
Reply:In my honest opinion Brooklyne is very trendy and tacky, Elizabeth is a nice, well-rounded middle name that sounds classic.

Louden is very over the top. Originally when I looked at it I thought it was Landon, which is cute. This name sounds like someone saying "It's Loudon here."
Reply:The girl's name is cute. I love Elizabeth as a middle name. Is the boy's name supposed to be London? That would be cute, but Loudon (loo-dun or l-ow-dun?) is not a name I'm a fan of, sorry.
Reply:i like Brooklynne Elizabeth more.. Loudon will just make his name hard to pronounce spell or write which will make people give him a nick name and if you want him to be called Loudon not a nick name go with something else.
Reply:some of my favorite girl names are Averi Kadence, Addison Christine, and Keaton April

my favorite boy names are Marcus Anthony, Landon Conner, Nathan Robert.

Ur names are cute too!
Reply:I love the girl's name, but Loudon doesn't sound appealing, my cat's name is Lou and it kinda makes me think of her to say "Loudon" I like Logan Michael or Landon Michael...that sounds cool.
Reply:I hate the name Brooklyn. Brooke Elizabeth is nice. Loudon? No. Landon Michale, sure.
Reply:Brook-Lynn maybe..or Brooke Lynn Elizabeth ..i hate the spelling brooklynne..and loudon is a terrible name..in my opinion..sorry...

Reply:I can't stand the name Brooklyn, I hate it so much, sorry, Elizabeth is nice though!

I don't like Loudon, but Michael is very nice!

=)
Reply:Wow, Brooklynne, now that's original. I haven't heard that name in almost an hour.

"You are awful Louden here, be quiet!"
Reply:I love the girl name but i don't like the boy name well micheal is ok but I don't like loudon.
Reply:Love the girl's name but i think you need to reconsider the boy's name
Reply:What about Brooke Lynn? That way she can go by either Brooke or Brooke Lynn

I'm not a fan of Loudon either because it sounds like Loud. What about Landon?
Reply:I like Brookelyn Elizabeth but I would turn the boy around to say

Michael Loudon
Reply:The girls name is okay. I don't care for Loudon.
Reply:I think Brooklynne is pretty, but I don't like Loudon sorry. It is too out there for me.
Reply:I think you should look for others names good luck...
Reply:do not name your daughter brooklynne, that's really ugly
Reply:Like the girls name... not so sure about the boys...

My name is morgan and im a girl, but there are a ton of boys named Morgan and i only know like two other girls named Morgan!

Is Morgan a boy name or a girl name?
Both. It's like Terry or Bobby either boys or girls can have it.

There are both great girls and guys with the first name "Morgan".

Male: Morgan Freeman

Reply:It's a unisex name like mine (Chevon)! There are all sorts of unisex names:

Reply:Unisex
Reply:Both.

What do you think of the boy name Milo?

It's pronounced 'my-loe'. What do you think?

What do you think of the boy name Milo?
I LOVE it! One of my all-time favorite boy names. It's fun and fresh and even slightly exotic but at the same time still strong and masculine. I really want to name my future son Milo.
Reply:I think it is kind of cute. However I have to tell this true story. There is a family at our church and there youngest is named this. When they first came to church their oldest said to the Sunday school class "I need to go check on Milo" and one of the boys said you brought your cat to church.
Reply:Milo is the name of a beverage which is made in New Zealand. It may be fine in other countries but just make sure that you never visit New Zealand with your son, he will be constantly laughed at.
Reply:Love it :)

It's the name of the actor who plays Peter in Heroes XD

not that that's the only reason I like it :P
Reply:Love it always have, in fact i just asked a Q here and one of the names i put down i liked was Milo :D
Reply:It's a nice name, but it sounds better as a middle name.
Reply:It's feminine sounding. Don't like it.
Reply:It's okay, but I like Miles better.
Reply:Very nice
Reply:It's cute on a little child, but I can't see it ageing well at all.
Reply:I like it. It's my nephew's name.
Reply:I love it! It is one of my favorite boy names!
Reply:Cute, very cute....Not over used.
Reply:I like it but for pets no babies, sorry
Reply:I love it!
Reply:it sounds like something i would name a fish or cat.
Reply:I like it a lot
Reply:love it!
Reply:its ok cuter for a nickname i think but if you like it go for it:)
Reply:No it's pronounced Me-lo. Have you ever seen the Disney movie Milo and Stitch?

How to Pronounce "JACE", is it nice for boy name? what is the meaning of the name?which is better JACE or JASE

Jace is an American/English name and it means Dauntless and is a suitable name for either boy or girl. Pronounced the way it looks.

How to Pronounce "JACE", is it nice for boy name? what is the meaning of the name?which is better JACE or JASE
Jace

American: Familiar form of Jason, Jacy, and similar names

I believe that it is pronounced jay-ce
Reply:It is short for Jason
Reply:It reminds me of the name " Jaycee" . which is a girls' name. I don't like it at all for a boy, it's very girl-ish !!
Reply:I like Jace
Reply:Jace rhymes with Mace and is a shortened version of Jason. I prefer it Jace.

I think it makes a nice middle name. I have it on my list actually.
Reply:I like the name...and prefer Jace. I don't find it feminine. Although, we all know some guys names have been used for girls as well. Morgan seems to me more of a guys name than a girls, yet who is more feminine than Morgan Fairchild? So, its just matter of preference for the parents. I chose two names for my son before birth and waited to set eyes on him before deciding what name he would be given. Yep, one fit for sure and still does. And remember...whatever name you choose, you can't please all the people all the time. Please yourself and more than likely the child will love his name too.

What is a good first or middle name, boy or girl, that evokes the ocean, beach, islands etc.?

My husband and I love the ocean, and as a Coast Guard family, we will be raising our babies by the beach. We would like each of our children to have a first or middle name that pertains to the ocean etc. We don't want words that MEAN ocean etc. in another language. We don't want to have to explain to people. We want it to be obvious that the name is tied to our love for the water. Any suggestions?

What is a good first or middle name, boy or girl, that evokes the ocean, beach, islands etc.?

Reply:Ocean:

And for a girl you can name it after one of the mermaids in the movie
Reply:Coral, Chelsea, Marina, River, Adrian, Caspian, Brooke, Marisa, Meredith, Nemo, Oceana, Mariel, Meadow

What boy/girl name do you think would go with my other children names?

Me and My hubby are currently trying to conceive baby number three and have no idea what name we would want for a boy or girl. Our other children's names are Brianna and Nathaniel, so I need and boy and girl name that would go best with my other two. Thanks :)

What boy/girl name do you think would go with my other children names?
Those are classic traditional names, so I'd pick something like Evelyn, Catherine, or Annemarie for a girl and Michael, Liam, or Henry for a boy.

Reply:you prob. going to think its wierd but i came up with something cool to me that is... Since your daughter name starts with a B i deciced to make a name with a B 4 ur son %26amp; i like the name BRAXTON%26amp; since your son name starts with a N i like the name NADINE for a girl!

Reply:for girls i like. Malia, Demi, Brielle, Layla and for boys i really like Preston and Nicholas. But i dont think Nicholas or Brielle would work beacuse there too close to your other kids names hope that helps there my favorite names and future names too.
Reply:Veronica or Gwenyth for a girl,

and Gabriel or Kaleb for a boy

Good luck!%26lt;3

What do you think of this nickname for the boy's name Lennox?

What do you think of the nickname Knox for the Irish name, Lennox? Do you think it would work? I really do not like the nickname Lenny, so I was thinking that Knox could possibly work. My only worry is that it is too Brangelina-ish. Which is why I have not liked Knox before.

What do you think of this nickname for the boy's name Lennox?
I'd most definitely prefer the nickname Knox for Lennox. Lenny reminds me of The Simpsons, or Family Guy, or whatever show that character comes from... (Blame my siblings. I dislike Family Guy; Simpsons is nice, but I'm certainly not a huge fan.)

Names like Shiloh and Zahara are too Brangelina-ish. Maddox, Paxton, Knox, and Vivienne are just on the cusp of normal, non-celebrity names.

ETA: To agree with Smoky, I also prefer Lennon. It's a nice name, wonderfully Beatles-inspired, without being too general (such as George or Paul), or too out there (like Ringo).
Reply:I loooove Knox for a nickname, but I'm not too fond of Lennox. Two things come to mind: glass and Annie Lennox. haha. Just bad associations for a not so bad name :o)
Reply:Lennox reminds me of Mary Lennox from the Secret Garden. Get a better name.
Reply:Knox was a name long before Brad and Angelina chose it. So, just because it is the name a celebrity child doesn't mean that it's completely ruined. Some celebrity baby names become extremely common and trendy after a star picks it for their kid, but Knox really isn't that popular. I don't know anyone that's named/naming their son Knox since the Brangelina twins were born. So, don't be afraid to call your son Knox just because of Angie and Brad.

Lenny is alright. It's a bit old-fashioned, but not a bad nickname.

EDIT: I just read a post above me where someone was saying Knox was 'tease-worthy'. Really? I'm sorry, but "Knox your sox off" doesn't cross my mind when I hear the name Knox. People on here are so ridicuously terrified of their children being teased that it's almost like they sit at home and think of how a name will get made fun of. My name is Claire, and because it rhymes with a lot of stuff, people make up funny rhymes all the time with my name in it. Ex. Claire got her hair eaten by a bear while she was trying to nair...." But you wouldn't think Claire would be a "tease-worthy" name, would you? It doesn't bother me, I think it's sort of funny. I doubt Knox would cry or get his feelings hurt if kids just happen to start saying "Knox your sox off". I think it would actually be a pretty funny joke. "Knox will knock off your sox."
Reply:EXCELLENT !!! go with it~!!! r`'R'`r
Reply:lenny or knox are two cute ones:)
Reply:ehhh...i like Lenny better **
Reply:i like knox !! i have considered lennox for a name for my child and all i could come up with for a nickname has been lenny, len %26amp; knee. although knox is brangelina's child we can all hope that they won't remain number one in the public's eyes for long.
Reply:I'm not really that keen - only because it reminds me of John Knox the Scottish religious reformer.

I don't like Lenny either; I think that's why I've only ever considered Lennox as middle name material (to me these surname-y names do best as middles).

PS On the comedy series "Star Stories", they showed Angelina wandering around an orphanage drawling "I'll take a couple of yellow ones ... oh, and and a brown one". !!!!!!
Reply:No, it isn't too Brangelina-ish. But, since Vivienne is one of your favorites and her baby twins are named Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon, I'd avoid using them together.
Reply:Lenny is usually the full name for lennard. I dont like the name knox at all
Reply:I just reaaally don't like Lennox or Knox at all, sorry. I prefer Lennon (my older brother's name, in fact). Lennox makes me think of botox, detox, noxious/obnoxious etc or like it should be on some kind of prescription bottle. Knox is also very tease-worthy with "knox your sox off" or "knox got knocked out"..etc.
Reply:It would work. It is a bit Brangelinaish, but you'll get over that. You ARE allowed to call your kid the same thing as one of theirs and not have to be a fan or follower.

But, if you want more distinction, spell in "Nox" instead of "Knox".

With such a distinctly ethnic last name, maybe you should look at the paternal family tree for a family name, but I personally like the name Andrew. (boy it's hard to find one that doesn't end in 's' or 'n'.)

How about the name "Beanjamin" for a babby boy's name?

Then we could call him a Beany babby.

Also, we could call him Beanus for short.

Our family's last name is 'Zenfoochina'.

Whadaya think?

How about the name "Beanjamin" for a babby boy's name?
I love it! I am glad you are thinking of babby names for our octuplets. Some other possibilities:

Reply:Holy's name is really great too. Report Abuse

Reply:Why do you want to call him "Beanjamin," "Beanus," or "Beany baby"? So the courts can take him away from you, Talula-Does-the-Hula-style? Won't it be difficult enough for him to have a last name like "Zenfoochina"? Just call him "Benjamin" or "Ben," for goodness' sake!
Reply:As the reigning cultural name expert here in babby names..I ADORE THIS NAME! It is very classy and unique. I really think that by you posting this..there will be lotsa lil' Beani popping up everywhere. You have done the Y!A baby names category proud. Well done!

PS I will name my next one Beanus..I like that one the best! Beanisha if it's a girl.
Reply:Beany Babby, yay, it's a keeper, and Beanus for when he's a bit older.

Beanadette could work for a girl, or Beanadine (my personal favorite). Beani Babby is better spelling for a girl babby.
Reply:I like Beany. or maybe Beano It all depends which way the wind is blowing. Maybe you should take a poll. Later, if you have a girl, you could change the B to a P.
Reply:No, I really don't.

Weird spellings of traditional names are horrible. And the name Beanie Baby is atrocious.

And I bet your last name is not Zenfoochina.
Reply:Beanjamin is terrible. Benjamin is nice.
Reply:I don't like Beanjamin. But I like Benjamin. Ben for short.
Reply:Sounds different, but its your child, its really your choice, I myself like the name Benjamin".
Reply:Yuck! Sorry but just being honest. Benjamin would be better. For God's sake think remember that you child has to carry that name for the rest of his life!
Reply:Are you kidding?

I'd stick with Benjamin.
Reply:Why not name him "Cabby Paddy?" Then you call call him cabbage patch doll.
Reply:Nah

Beanjamin

sounds like you've been dancing

Reply:I like Benjamin not Bean...
Reply:'Mitongas'

That's a great first name that fits well with your last name.
Reply:i dont lik it but i lik ben

What do you think about this baby boy name?

Lucas Ethan or Ethan Lucas which one do you think?

What do you think about this baby boy name?
I think they both sound great actually! I would choose Ethan Lucas only because I love the name Ethan! Congrats! Good choice of names!
Reply:Ethan Lucas, nice name.
Reply:Ethan Lucas
Reply:I would have to say Ethan Lucas
Reply:Ethan Lucas
Reply:Ethan Lucas flows better than the opposite way.... go with that
Reply:Ethan Lucas! Great names you have picked out!
Reply:Ethan Lucas congrats
Reply:Ethan Lucas...
Reply:I like both...but to say them out loud, Ethan Lucas sounds better. I love the name!!! = )
Reply:I defiantly like Ethan Lucas better it has a better flow to it. :)
Reply:Ethan Lucas. My son's name is Ethan James. Ethan is a great name!
Reply:Ethan Lucas
Reply:Lucas sounds so much better..you can even call him Luca
Reply:Ethan Lucas. I LOVE the name Lucas, and it's less common than Ethan, but I don't think Lucas Ethan flows as nicely together as Ethan Lucas does.
Reply:Lucas Ethan
Reply:I like the name Lucas better - BUT Ethan Lucas does flow together better than Lucan Ethan.
Reply:Ethan Lucas is my favorite.
Reply:I love both. I think they both flow just fine.

Take care with your last name initial, that L E ? doesn't spell something bad,
Reply:Ethan Lucas
Reply:i like andrew or carson better
Reply:Ethan Lucas

I love the name Ethan- sounds like you found a winner!
Reply:I prefer Ethan Lucus, it seems to flow better... but I like that Lucas Ethan is a bit more unusual. There's a million Ethans, Lucas isn't as commonly heard.
Reply:Ethan Lucas has a nicer ring to it.
Reply:I like Ethan Lucas because i dont really care for luke and if lucas is the babys first name someone will shorten it.
Reply:Ethan Lucas
Reply:Ethan Lucas flows better
Reply:Lucas Ethan
Reply:I like Ethan Lucas
Reply:I really like these names. If I had to pick I would choose Lucas Ethan - because Lucas can be easily shortened to Luke and Ethan is harder to make into a nick name.

Also, Lucas seems like a good strong name for a boy. It makes a good first name.
Reply:Ethan Lucas flows better.
