What do you think of the boy name Gavin?
Gavin is a derivative of Gawain which means "white hawk"


Sounds like a powerful, masculine name to me.





Gavin Dougal (DOO-gull) sounds really good.
Reply:I love it! My husband hates it though so I won't even get to use it. He did point out that it's very similar to his brother's name (Kevin) and he's not part of our lives, so we wouldn't want people to think we are naming him something similar to him.
Reply:I love this name. My Son was going to be a Gavin, and my Husband was not sold on it, so we decided on Ethan. Gavin is a favorite of mine, and if we have another boy I will try to sell the idea again. lol
