I am trying to gauge if the name Ishaan (Indian baby boy name) is too popular with the kids in US. We love this name but would think twice if this name is very popular.
Would love your inputs.

Reply:Eshaan sounds too much like Ehsaan. Its up to you, whether of not you have any qualms about that or not. I personally dont like the name but thats because of a recent movie I saw (TZP, Im sure youll know what that means) and i instantly get a picture of the dorky little boy in my mind.
But if you both really like the name, then I think you should go for it.
In terms of it being common, I only know Ehsaans. I think you are safe when it comes to the name being overused. But there could be more people like you who find Eshaan a cute name because of the movie and about 5 years from now, the name may begin to surface more.
